I am currently viola and violin faculty at the following academic institutions:

Additionally, I maintain an active private studio where I teach viola and violin to all ages and skill levels. My students perform as soloists in their respective school orchestras, perform in studio recitals, participate in competitions, and have been accepted into PMEA All-State Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony Side-By-Side, Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra (TRYPO), Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (PYPO), Westmoreland Youth Symphony Orchestra (WYSO), and in some cases have gone on to major in music in college. I also teach masterclasses across the region in programs such as “OrchKids” (Baltimore Symphony) as well as in elementary, middle school, high school, and collegiate-level music programs.

I am passionate about working with youth and adult students who are excited to learn. My primary focus as an educator is to further my students’ love the music by helping them to learn the proper technical skill sets to create a sound they will love and enjoy. Not every student I teach will become a professional musician, but it is important to me that my students are able to take their skills into all areas of life.

“It’s a rare combination to have an artist that has both astonishing musicality and the engagement/teaching skills for students.” - Judy Sweet, Baltimore Symphony ‘OrchKids’
